Finn York, the heir to a wealthy family, is devoted to scientific research. He leads a team in developing Flame's advanced "Vermilion Chip." Subsequently, the upper echelons of Flame decide to produce a major television series inspired by Finn's life. Finn entrusts the project to his wife, whom he has supported throughout her career. Unexpectedly, outside their home, an artist under his wife's company maliciously scratches his car, arrogantly demands the parking spot, drives the car Finn gifted to his wife, and wears a valuable watch from Finn's collection—claiming to be his wife's boyfriend. His wife shields the other man throughout the confrontation. After learning she has secured the major television project, she becomes even more defiant. It is only when Finn's identity as a professor is revealed that she kneels, begging for forgiveness.
