"You're going to have to put up with this situation, regardless of how you feel about it." He pushed my wheelchair inside the Villa, I lowered my head, and when I looked up and saw the portrait of my face that was hanging on the wall, my eyes welled up with tears, and I asked, "That's why you saved me because I look like...her?" I can't deny the fact that the woman whose portrait was hanging on the wall looked just like me. My heart was breaking because I even stared at the strange man whose eyes were full of hope that he was staring at the face of the lady he loved a long time ago, but that woman was not me, and I will never be like her. “I’m not going to be a substitute!” I screamed at him in hatred. He spoke to me with a steady gaze that penetrated my soul and said, "You don't have a pack, you are a lone wolf, and from now on, you only have me. Why aren't you just thankful that I saved your life and gave you a place to live?!" "Because I didn't ask for this!" After I had rolled the wheelchair back outside, he raised his voice this time in an effort to get me to stop. "Starting right now, you have to genuflect and bend your head to me! I'm your Alpha! and be my Luna!" I give him a bitter smile while shaking my head and telling him, "Alpha, I am no longer your Luna!" He stared at me in disbelief and asked with a frustrated sigh, "Did you just reject me this time?" Without batting an eyelid, I look directly into his eyes and said softly, "Yes, Alpha. You have been rejected."

Chapter 1

Celestina’s POV My nightmares keep waking me up, and as much as I want to escape this suffering, I can't shake the feeling that it's slowly suffocating me to death. I opened my eyes and found myself gasping for air in the pitch black. I got down on the floor and crawled onto the bed, where I quickly put the heavy cover over my head. I then heard something. A type of sound that could make me wonder what it was. When I looked around, I saw that the window was open. In the night sky, I could see the full moon shining brightly. Then, just as I was about to close the window, a rustling sound from outside started to bother me. I start to tiptoe down the stairs because I don't want to wake up the housekeeper. When there are no lights on at night, the Villa looks like a haunted house, but that doesn’t stop me from sneaking out of the Villa. I slowly cracked the great gate and made my way deeper into the forest. The scent of the forest was like a magnet, drawing me ever closer to investigate the source of the sound and find what type of beast lurked inside its depths. But, when I got there, there was no one around, so I took a step back, but my foot caught on something hard, and I fell; luckily, a strong hand caught me, and his eyes were like a pair of furious crimson pools that stared straight into my very being. In terror, I resisted his advances and attempted to kick him as hard as possible. He held on tight and drew me closer to him; I could hear a low growl as he trapped me against the tree and covered my mouth. When he got a good look at me, his beastly eyes calmed down, and he asked, "Mate?" "W-What?" When I gazed into his eyes, my eyes widened in shock out of fear, and I wondered how I could ever have a mate if I was a wolf without a pack and a loser. I take a few deep breaths in, and he is still looking at me with his eyes glowing, but he gives me a puzzled frown when he doesn't expect my response. "Let go of me!" I tried to get away from him by pulling out and running away, but he chased me into the forest and watched as I ran like a human version of a helpless wolf. He stepped up, raised his husky voice, and yelled something while holding my hand aloft. "You are a living, breathing human being. A wolfless and powerless wolf. I cannot take you as my mate...even if you look like her....but you are not her." When I cast a perplexed glance in his direction, I scowled, I understand why he have to reject me so suddenly. "It is acceptable if you decide to reject me because no one wants a Luna who has no wolves, is weak, and has no power. I Celestina Sullivan, accept your rejection." I turned away from him, but it was like walking away with a heavy heart after being rejected for the first time in my life. I thought I could finally have my home and my mate, but the Moon Goddess wouldn't let this night be mine. I was taken aback when I saw him standing in front of the Villa; how could he walk so quickly in there? I stop walking and just look at him in the dark. After that, he looked at me with intense crimson eyes that sparkled and asked, "Do you live here?" "Y-Yes…" I felt anxious and afraid of him at the same time, so I pressed my fingers together to calm my nerves. He appears to be extremely tall and handsome as hell. But I don't have to forget that this creature rejected someone just like me! "Celestina! What are you doing?! You girl! You're out again! What are you doing out here in the dark?" The elder woman questioned me; she was the one who adopted me after she found me in the street with severe cuts and near death. I took a deep breath and said, "I..." When I turned around to look at the man, he wasn't there anymore. Where did he go? "What is your reason this time? Do you know that there are a lot of wild animals in this area at night? You haven't gotten your power back yet, but you're walking around as you can attack." Helene said and took me inside the Villa. How can he leave so quickly and not even say goodbye? Yet, on the deepest level of my existence, I am very much sad that a man like him rejected someone like me. My eyes started to well up with tears, and Helene's expression turned grim as she stared at me and asked, "Are you okay?" "He...He didn't want me…." I sighed softly. She held me close in her arms, and I could tell she felt sad for me too. She reminded me of a mother that worries for her child, and she tapped me on the shoulder and said, “Ohhh, dear…who’s that man?”

Chapter 2

Celestina's POV "I've never met him before..." I heaved a sigh and made my way back to my room in a leisurely manner without looking back at the elderly lady, who appeared to be quite concerned about me. Later, when I went inside, I quietly grieved and cried for what seemed like an eternity. Why do I feel so bad about myself in this way? I draw in a deep breath and try to keep my breathing calm while suppressing the need to sob this time. As I close my eyes, I have the illusion that my power has been restored; nevertheless, I am not regaining control of my wolf. TWO WEEKS LATER… "Celestina, you have a guest who would like to see you," Helene said. Helene treated me much like her own daughter, and after her own daughter passed away, she even gave me the same name as her own daughter. I have no recollection of the past and no idea who I am. She took me in as her own child; as a result, she is a wealthy and influential woman in this Italian country. She is aware that I was once a werewolf, but because I have forgotten everything about who I was, she now treats me as if I were a human. When the maids saw me descending the stairs, their heads turned quickly to stare in my direction. They can't take their gaze off me no matter what they do. After living here for two years, I've become accustomed to people staring at me, but it can sometimes make me feel uncomfortable. The man stood up as soon as he saw me, and his eyes stared at me from head to foot. His eyes sparkled with joy, and he handed the bouquet to me while saying, "Celestina..." I gave Helene a sidelong glance and asked, "What is this?" "Let me introduce you to Alexander, you'll be marrying him very soon." She stated to me while smiling at me, but the idea that the woman who adopted me already possesses my life is something that I cannot accept. I took a step back and then handed Alexander the bouquet back to him. "I'm sorry, but I can't marry someone I just met," The man with a fair complexion and blonde hair frowned at me because he felt insulted by what I said. I get the impression that he does not appreciate how I treat him. Helene followed me out the door as quickly as she could, but I stopped looking back after a while and kept walking. I didn't want to destroy my prior existence because I wanted to relive it and retain my power back again. I also don't want to tie the knot with a human and have a miserable life. “Celestina! Don’t run away!” But I had no intention of complying with her demands because she is not my mother, and I am not her daughter. Her daughter had passed away on the day that she found me, but I refused to let her dictate the terms of my life. I will not give someone the power to control my life or coerce me into leading a life that I did not choose for myself. I raced into the forest without turning around. As I went farther and further away from the house, I didn't understand how far away I actually was until I suddenly noticed how quickly I was moving. I was taken aback by my speed, but then I was stunned when I bumped against someone's firm chest, which caused my head to spin and caused me to lose my balance. “Fuck!” I heard a silent curse before I passed out. *************** I slowly opened my eyes and saw that this wasn't my home at all. I looked around and didn't see anyone, but I could smell something wonderful coming from outside. I got up and tried to open the door, but it was locked. I tried to kick and hit it a thousand times, but no one answered. "Hey! Let me out! Or else I will report you to the authorities! I tried to yell at the top of my lungs, and the door suddenly opened. It was the man from two weeks ago; he was like a greek god in shirtless, and his black, curly hair was dripping wet. He stepped forward, and I stepped backward nervously; I was dumbfounded while staring at his penetrating gaze. Finally, after taking a deep breath, I mustered the strength to utter a few words: "Y-You...again?" He reached behind me for a towel, and I cringed quietly. I sat down on the bed with my pulse racing and thumping rapidly, and I looked at him with confused eyes. Then I recalled what had transpired earlier in the day, so I heaved a sigh and expressed my concern to him, saying, "I'm sorry for what happened, and I promise I won't bother you anymore." "Why are you running away?" His voice was so intimidatingly masculine that it sent shivers down my spine. I brought my head back down after raising it to gaze up. I hate him for rejecting me, so I have no reason to stay here. I got to my feet and attempted to escape him, but he stopped me and questioned, "But where are you going?"

Chapter 3

Celestina’s POV He was icy, heartless, and cruel... but he was also strikingly good-looking. I realized this after staring into his ocean-blue eyes for a moment; this prompted him to release his grip on my arm. "Get out of here!" he growled angrily at me. Because of this, I didn't hesitate to run away from him, even though my tears were slowly falling down my face. My long white dress was covered in mud and dirt, and I ran barefoot through a dark forest, not knowing where I was going. I had never been here before, so I looked around. As I did, I heard a loud growl coming from close by, and I could see red eyes moving slowly toward me. They are attacking me and trying to pull me toward them. They look like wild beasts and are hungry for human blood and flesh. They were runaway dark rogues who wanted to eat a wolf like me who didn't have a pack. I screamed as loud as I could, desperately hoping that someone would hear me and come to my rescue before it was too late! But, a little while later, I heard a menacing snarl coming from behind me, and the Rogue attackers that had been fighting me ran away like a startled cat and vanished instantly with the bat of an eye. I turn my head slowly to the rear, and there, standing behind me, is a huge werewolf with glowing red eyes and pointed fangs. He looks pretty menacing. I haven't seen anything like this in the past two years, so the novelty of seeing it almost caused me to pass out from excitement. He turned on human form, and as I looked down at his shirtless body, my gaze fell upon his shorts. At that moment, he addressed me with a concerned voice and asked, "Are…Are you alright?" He touched my stomach, then felt the blood streaming down, and cupped my face, “You’re bleeding….” As I finally understood that I had huge cuts in my stomach, I moaned in pain, and he stared at me with wide eyes. "Come with me," he whispered, but I pushed him away. “No, I don’t want to be with someone like you, you rejected me, remember?!” He didn’t answer. “Then just leave me alone, if I die, you’ll find a new mate.” Then, when people were approaching in our direction, he quickly hid in the darkness. Alexander arrived with his men and asked me softly, "What happened to my bride?" "Alexander…help me!" I moaned in agony and noticed that my breathing was becoming increasingly strained. We left the place, and just before I closed my eyes for the night, I saw the man's eyes flash furiously while he was staring at me in the dark. Alexander tightly drew me into his arms while his men investigated the surrounding area. *********** Alexander drove me to the closest hospital, and the staff there was able to treat my condition on time. They told me that I had lost an unhealthy amount of blood and miraculously survived. He has a firm grip on my hand, and I can't help but gaze at him with my body shaking. I don't know what to do, but whenever I close my eyes, the image of the menacing man's face keeps repeating over and over in my head. But why? "Celestina, how have you been doing? Are you okay?" he said as he gently kissed my knuckles, but I pulled away my hand and sighed. Just then, the door opened, and it was Helene, who was looking quite concerned about me. While she was in a state of fear, she uttered the words, "I told you to forget who you are, you will never be turned into anything you want." I didn't pay attention to her, so she stroked my face and asked me, "Why did you run away? Look at what happened to you!" Alexander clears his throat, and I look at him. "I know you don't want to marry someone like me, but since I saved your life, you need to marry me, Celestina." "N-NO…." I shake my head, but Alexander hits me. Helene was shocked, so she pulled Alexander away from me and asked, "What are you doing?! Can't you see that she's still in pain?!" "Helene Sullivan, you owe me a lot of money. If you can't get her to marry me, I will have to take everything you own! You'll be as broke as a rat!" Alexander said in an angry tone and gave me an edgy look. I stroked the side of my face and groaned in pain when I moved slowly. "You can't treat me like this, Alexander! We have an agreement!" Helene said. "That makes no difference anymore; I want to have her all to myself!" Alexander opened the door but quickly retreated as soon as he saw who was on the other side. It was the mysterious man, and I rolled my eyes when he peered at me. His eyes landed on the side of my face and my bruises. I rolled my eyes again. Alexander asked, "And who the heck are you?!" He gave Alexander a suitcase full of cash and told him, "You can have it all, just leave her alone, or else you won't see daybreak anymore." Helene was speechless. Alexander took the suitcase, and with his jaw clenched, he left without looking back. The man turned his back on me and said to his men, "Bring her to my castle." Wait, what?

Chapter 4

Celestina’s POV "Hey, you can't just do this to my daughter! Who do you think you are!?" Helene's anxiety caused her to run out of the building and immediately start calling for security and medical staff. "Get off of me! What do you want from me?!” I shoved the man who was ready to place me in the wheelchair so that I could take control of the situation. He looked up at me and gave the command, "Sit." I heaved a sigh and sat down in the wheelchair, bewildered. Then, three bodyguards dressed in dark suits appeared behind me, and another bodyguard pushed the wheelchair into the elevator. As we arrived, the Mysterious One was already waiting for us in his lavish limousine in the parking lot. He lowered the window, his eyes met mine, and I asked while panting. "You...what do you want from me?! You no longer have any control over me! Remember! You choose to reject me! If you want me to be your slave, I have better things to do than serve someone like you!" I yelled at him, and everyone was surprised when they heard me speaking to the man in such a manner toward him. "You can't possibly say something like that to the Alpha King! Or you'll be beheaded!" The man said as he brandished his silver sword in my direction. Fear crept over me as I gently lowered my head, and the mysterious man with a deep voice instructed them, "Bring her inside the car, and be gentle with her." As I sit next to him, he places his hand on my stomach. At first, I gasped because it seemed he was absorbing all the pain I was enduring. Then, when his bare hand made contact with my skin, I jerked back and pushed him away. He said softly, "My name is Thaddeus," Then he let out a soft snarl like he didn't like my treatment towards him. "I could care less about your identity! I'm not something that can be bought with money!" I yelled at him quite loudly. The driver appeared shaken up as a consequence of my actions, and a man named Thaddeus shut the private window separating the passengers and the driver. He gave me a piercing look with his eyes before asking, "Do you want to wed a wretched human being instead of being with me?" I leaned forward to meet his menacing gaze and said, "I don't want to choose between you and him, I just want to be alone in my life, and mateless than to be with someone who rejected me for being weak and powerless." This time he did not react; instead, he moved closer until our lips were only a few inches apart; when I screamed and backed aside, he grabbed my arm and asked, "Are you scared?" "Please, please, please, let go of me...I have no interest in becoming one of your mistresses!" He let go of my arm and took a deep breath, ignoring my pleas. A little while later, we made it to his opulent Home, which resembled a royal palace. I heaved a breath as I peered around, and when he cast a sidelong glance in my direction, I said softly while shaking my head, "I don't belong here..." "You're going to have to put up with this situation, regardless of how you feel about it." He pushed my wheelchair inside the Villa, I lowered my head, and when I looked up and saw the portrait of my face that was hanging on the wall, my eyes welled up with tears, and I asked, "That's why you saved me because I look like...her?" I can't deny the fact that the woman whose portrait was hanging on the wall looked just like me.

Chapter 5

Celestina's POV "I did not acknowledge or agree with your decision to reject me! This ignominy is beyond my ability to face!" He yelled angrily at me while staring at me with a hostile expression in his eyes. "How could you possibly reject someone like me?" "Because you rejected me first..." I promptly reacted, and he was left stunned by the exchange. He showed displeasure by shaking his head and chasing me outside, saying, "You can't go anywhere... I have not yet come to terms with the fact that you have rejected me, therefore whether you like it or not, you are going to have to stay here with me and you are going to have to stick here till I say so!" I couldn't believe what I was hearing, so I pursed my lips and gave him a disapproving look before saying, "I don't want to stay here, and if you are worried since you already gave Alexander your payment, don't worry; I will work very hard to pay you!" I stared at his soft and pink lips, and he gave me a malicious sneer. "Then you will work for me for the rest of your life, don't you know how much payment I hand to that poor human being?" I rolled my eyes and said, "I don't want to know." I entered the splendid Villa while carefully pushing my automated wheelchair through the entrance. Everyone in the household saw me, and when they realized that the Alpha was standing behind me, they all bent their heads respectfully. It was so quiet that it made me feel as if my eardrum could burst at any moment. When I quickly look at Thaddeus, I see he has the most devilishly attractive face. "Could it be her?" The elderly bald man walked up to me, and as he did so, he bowed his head to Thaddeus. He gave me a kind grin and greeted me with the words, "Welcome to your new home, Miss Sullivan." I heaved a sigh and said in a low voice to Thaddeus, who was standing next to me, "I don't want to stay here, and please don't force me to stay..." Thaddeus spoke to me in a collected manner, saying, "It is getting darker now; you cannot simply go back to your old rusty home." The elderly bald man gave Thaddeus a shocked glance as if he had just heard Thaddeus say that for the first time. "It's such a joy to finally meet you, Ms. Sullivan. I've been working here as a housekeeper for many years, and my name is Victor." I smiled warmly at Victor, but deep down inside, and I felt fear and aching in my heart. The fact that I have to stay here, for the time being, makes me worry that every pair of eyes that looks at me will notice that I don't have a wolf and that I am not like them in any way. Thaddeus said, “Show her to her room.” Victor pushed my wheelchair inside the modern elevator, and as we arrived upstairs, he opened the door for me and smiled, “Here’s your room, Miss Celestina.” “Thank you.” "There is absolutely no need for you to thank me in any way, I was just doing my job." After he had finished, he shut the door, and I got out of my wheelchair and carefully moved toward the bed. After closing my eyes for a few minutes, I found myself fast asleep despite having just gotten into the incredibly plush bed. I was startled awake by the noise outside, so I got out of bed and cautiously opened the window to see what was happening. Then, to my astonishment, I saw Thaddeus beating an extremely bleeding man in front of his pack. I couldn't help but widen my eyes in disbelief as I asked myself, "What the fuck is going on?" He is not a saint by any means; he murdered the man in front of everyone, and then he threatened them all by saying, "This will happen to each and every one of you is a traitor!" I cautiously closed the window, but Thaddeus' eyes caught me in the distance, and I could sense the rage and disappointment in his heart. I hurriedly opened the door and looked for another way to escape these vicious werewolves before they could catch me. "Celeste….Where are you?" His deep and booming voice reverberated throughout the entire Pavilion; he growled and commanded his betas and omegas, "FIND HER!" I tried so hard not to make a sound and clutched myself in the dark out of terror, but I couldn't hide my scent. I screamed as my fragile body was hauled out of the empty closet where I had been hiding. As he realized that I was so terrified of him, his eyes grew softer, and he stroked my face and whispered, "WHY ARE YOU ACTING LIKE THIS?" His strong and mighty arm snaked around my waist to make me feel better, but I pulled away from him and pushed him out, "D-Don't t-touch m-me!" “I'm not gonna hurt you, Celestina.” "How could I possibly place my trust in someone like you? You killed someone, I saw you...just please, let me go! I don't want to stay here! I'm different...I don't have a wolf. I better live with humans." My eyes begin to well up with tears, and he lowers his head with a sad expression. After a moment of silence, he eventually says, "Alright, you are free to go... and I have no desire to look at your face ever again! If we meet again, I might lock you up in one of the towers of my own personal kingdom and make you suffer for turning your back on me!" And with a heavy heart, I slowly walk away from him.

Chapter 6

Thaddeus POV A MONTH LATER… I was staring at my computer for an hour already and couldn't even focus on deciding what to do next. Just thinking about the image of the woman whose face keeps repeating over and over in my head has thrown me off track, and I have no idea what tasks I have to complete today. I want to go after her and capture her in my arms so that I can take revenge on her for rejecting me. "It's been a whole month already. Why is it that I can't get that woman out of my mind?!" I mumbled to myself while clenching the pen fiercely, and suddenly within the space of a single second, the pen bent in my grasp. Why do I behave like this? Is it because her face looks just like Arabella's? The mate who passed away seven years ago. It was a really devastating incident in my life at the time. Before my father passed, he even helped me trace her and bury my mate's body, and I do not want to dwell on it any further because doing so would simply make the rest of my day more painful. "Sir, Mister Johnson asked me to have you come over to the Ranch to check what was going on with the horses." "Tell him I'm busy, does he even know how to take care of those horses?" I replied furiously, then my secretary's eyes shied away from looking directly at me. After that, I had no other option but to get up and sigh, "Alright, make sure that all these files are organized. I will read over all of this on another day." "Yes, Sir," she replied as she bent her head. Werewolves have finally lived alongside humans for many years, yet they still never know about us. We are just only a myth, a tale, but they don’t realize that we truly exist in this chaotic world. I, Thaddeus Gallager, the son of the late Alpha king, now—I am the Alpha King. I was known to be the billionaire CEO of this country. My family possessed multiple Royal hotels, beaches, and businesses across the world, and I inherited all of that except for my Royal Rogue brother, who ruined his life due to his too much envy and selfishness. I take a few slow, deep breaths, and as I approach the door to the building, I notice that my personal driver has already parked the car outside. We took the way more accessible than when we arrived at the Ranch. I heard the noises that my horse was making. I walked gently and sniffed the area. I smelled something nasty. Yep, that was the Horse poop. Fuck. Roy arrived. He was covered in dirt and groaned as he saw me. He then took off his cowboy hat and said, "It's a miracle that you showed up today!" "Yes, what the heck is the issue over here?" "One of your favorite horses isn't eating," I got fairly close to the white horse, Arabella's favorite horse. She was the reason I ended up establishing a ranch; I wanted to keep my connection with her alive. I wish I could go back in time and be with her again, but I guess that's impossible. I listened to the horse's heart to see whether it was beating normally, and once I confirmed that it was, I told him in a calm voice. "She's completely fine." "On what basis do you assert that she is perfectly healthy?" Roy is one of my human friends, and judging from the expression on his face, he appears perplexed. I confirm with a nod of my head and remark, "Because I said so." Roy gave a gentle chuckle and accompanied me inside, then said, "Now, I have a new care taker to take care of that horse; she applied this morning, and dammit brother... She is so hot, attractive, and lovely that it seems as like she has everything I could ever want in a woman!" I gave Roy a little smack on the shoulder and asked, "Really? So, best of luck, and I hope that you'll find some peace this year—" The sight of the woman, who was holding hay grass in one hand and wearing a brown hat, caused my eyes to bulge out of their sockets. She was wearing a white knee-length dress. She appeared in a good mood and was smiling while looking around. My jaw clenched in disgust as I asked for clarification, "Why is she here?" Roy cheerfully responded, "Yes, she is the woman I've been talking about!" As I stood in the woman's path with my fists clenched on both sides, she stepped back and looked up to see my face for the first time. When she first saw me, her dark brown eyes enlarged to a circle, and she gasped and took a few scared steps back before asking, "T-Thaddeus?" It looked like Roy was ready to start talking, but I interrupted him and said, "Long time no see, sweetheart." I gave her a malicious grin, and she responded with a scowl while looking at me with her adorable round eyes.

Chapter 7

Celestina's POV A month ago, When I returned, I found Helene sobbing on the terrace; she got up as soon as she spotted me. She walked as fast as she could and tightened her arms around me. Having been given the name of her late daughter, I know that she deeply mourned the loss of her child. Indeed, she believes I am her daughter. In addition, I feel obligated to assist her because she has been there for me for the past seven years, during which time I was in a coma for five years, and she never gave up trying to save my life. I am very grateful to her since she did everything in her power to save my life and bring me back to life. I hugged her and said with a grin, "I'm sorry..." "Don't worry about it, did he hurt you? Are you hurt?" As she checked my arms, I shook my head and replied, "No, he didn't. He released me, and I am doing fine at this point. You do not have to worry about it." She told me, "We're moving somewhere, Celeste," and I saw that all of our things were already packed outside. "I thought you wouldn't be with me again, but there you are. Come with me, we need to leave this place." I looked around and stopped thinking about Thaddeus. Maybe a change of scenery will help me bring all of my thoughts, memories, and power together. *********** Present Time, When I was waiting for the light at the intersection to turn red so I could walk through the pedestrian lane, I was admiring the lovely artificial pond outside the building. Then, when the light turned red, I walked slowly while scrolling through my phone. A fast, screeching car was about to hit me, but the driver stopped just in time. My eyes grew wide with fear, and I thought I was going to die tonight. And when I looked around, I saw that there were no other people in the street; it was just this careless driver and me. I was terrified. So I slowly stand up while gasping for air in pain. The towering and manly driver of the luxury sedan exits the vehicle. He exuded an atmosphere that was simultaneously menacing and suspicious. He went about as if nothing had happened while staring at me intently, first in the eyes and then from head to toe. Then he approached me and said, "Here," while holding out cash to me, but I refused it and gave him an annoyed expression. “I-I’m okay….” I turned my back on him, but it seemed like he was in front of me in the blink of an eye when he took a quick step forward. He stared at me with wide-eyed perplexity before he grinned and asked, "Wait, have we met before?" I gradually withdrew my attention because I had a sneaking suspicion that he was a Dark Rogue. I feel that I can sense bad things and energy, but I am still weak as a human. "No…" "The next time this happens, you must be careful, particularly if you are walking on the street... I am a good driver, but I can be bad occasionally, and I can kill you at any minute," he stated casually, keeping his hand in his pocket. "It's not my fault sir...you see the red light? That's the proof of your recklessness." My hands were shaking as I cast a terrified glance in his direction, and I knew just by looking at him that this man standing in front of me was a very dangerous individual. I need to walk away from him before he attacks me tonight. He is a Rogue, and a Rogue will attack anyone if they feel they have been wronged in some way. I stopped the taxi and got inside without looking at him. *************** When I was finally far enough away from him, I stopped in a strange place because I heard a horse weep and cry out, and I wanted to aid that horse. Later, when I entered the weird place where no one else was around, I spotted a lovely white horse whose tail was moving as she saw me walking toward her. After a little moment of a gentle grin, I heard her sob again. Then I realized that she relies on me to take care of her, and as a result, I had to go to the proprietor about giving me a job because I saw a sign on the street that said they were looking for staff. THE NEXT DAY, The next thing I knew, I had gotten the job and was standing in front of a man I really despised. Thaddeus let Roy leave so that he could talk to me alone. I bit my lower lip as he peered at me closely. He took a step forward and carefully lifted my chin so that I could look him in the eyes as he said, "You are now my prisoner...." "What?!" "A punishment from the Alpha King, you can't refuse that punishment because you belong to me."

Chapter 8

Celestina’s POV "It's true that the world is too small to meet you again, but that doesn't mean I want to be your prisoner," I whispered softly while my cheeks were flushed as red as a tomato and my body was heating up as he used his finger to trace my arm to my neck. I resisted the want to grunt as he continued to do so, not just because I was uncomfortable but also because my body was reacting to the way he was touching me. "You are my rejected mate, but when I want to claim you again to be my Luna then you rejected me on that night. Now that our paths have crossed, you can't run away from me again...because I won't let you go." Fear gripped my body as he grasped my wrist and said, "Because I am the Alpha King, you will submit to my authority and serve under my rule. You don't have a pack, and you have no status; do you believe it's possible for you to make it through this world without being hunted by other werewolves and rogues?" His face was so close to mine that it was hard for me to breathe. I slowly moved away from him, but he pinned me against the wall and smiled evilly, "Don't make me mad, Celestina. If you didn't want me, I wouldn't want you either. Your refusal makes me want to punish you until the day you die…" My tears slowly flowed down my face, and I felt like a needle had pierced my heart. I then looked directly into his dark blue eyes and asked, "W-Why me?" "Because you're the only one with the nerve to turn me down, do you think I'd be happy that a lowly woman like you rejected someone like me? No, Celestina. You have to pay for what you did to me!" He stared at my teary eyes, then leaned in close, and as I bit my lower lip, his eyes grew crimson as an Alpha would do when he was trying to gain control over his victim. I was so anxious that I parted my lips slightly as I breathed out. Then he grabbed my neck and pulled me closer to him, and without missing a beat, he brought his lips to mine for the very first time. I was in such disbelief that I was at a loss for words; I wanted to scream for help but couldn't say anything because I felt frozen in front of him. He crushed his warm body against mine as we were propped up against the wall. He grabbed my small waist and softly caressed it with his other hand. I whimpered as if I was going to push him away, but he was so strong that he intensified the kiss. I felt so lost, and my entire body melted because of his dominance over me. "So you kicked me out so that you could make out with this newly hired lady, huh?" When Thaddeus heard Roy's voice, he immediately stopped kissing me. He let go of my lips and cast a furious gaze in Roy's direction. When Roy noticed that Thaddeus was staring at him in such a serious manner, his normally light skin transformed into a pale complexion. He then stepped back outside, lifted both hands above his head, and cautiously shut the door behind him. "Why are you staring at me like that?" He asked me angrily as he looked at me. I wiped my wet lips with my hand and walked away, but he grabbed the back of my arm and whispered, "No one should know about us. If you try to tell everyone about us and what I did to you, you will face a bigger consequence. You know that when it comes to me, anything is possible." I grimaced at him. "Let go of me, do you really think you can control me?!" "I will and I can." "Then you're wrong. I will deal with any consequences or punishment than—" "You're going to do that because you didn't want to be with me? Your wish is my command, of course, until you beg for me and ask to be my mate again!" He dragged me outside, and when people were looking at us, he acted as nothing had happened. He opened the door to his car and said, "Get in, or I'll make you." I sucked in a deep breath of anger and rolled my eyes at him. He drove me to his grand villa, which was full of security guards and housekeepers. Why does he need so many people here when he lives alone? He still had a tight grip on my wrist. He dragged me up the stairs as we walked, and I told him, "I...I can walk!" He used his fingerprint to open the last door, then shoved me inside and said, "Well, you wanted this, right?" "What...What are you doing?" I couldn't help but gaze at him in anguish as he gently unbuttoned his long white sleeves, then arched his brow and said, "This is your punishment."
