My Killer Android Nanny

GoodNovel new Completed

When I came home to begin my postpartum recovery, my husband Martin Summerland spent a lot of money on an android because he cared about me that much. He also programmed her to treat my orders as her highest priority. I frowned at the beautiful female android called "Ruby" standing before me and wanted Martin to return her at first. But he kept persuading me to try her for a month, promising that I would be satisfied. After watching her handle every task perfectly for a month, I finally agreed to keep her. But that very night, my baby son Samson's crying woke me. Ignoring the pain in my body, I went to the nursery and found Ruby mounting on Martin, her eyes hazy. "I've spent a month serving your wife. Do you have any idea how sick it made me whenever I cleaned up her afterbirth bleeding or changed the baby's diapers? You have to make it up to me." Hearing that, Martin casually grabbed a pillow and threw it into the crib. It landed squarely over Samson's crying face, and his cries instantly grew weaker. He clicked his tongue. "It's so noisy. Are you sure you want to do it here? Then I'll make sure you're satisfied." As I listened to the obscene sounds filling the room and Samson's cries growing weaker, I dug my nails into my palm and called Syntek Robotics. "Hello. I want to make a report. Your android's cognitive system is malfunctioning and refuses to obey her owner's instructions. If I remember correctly, you said androids like that had to be destroyed, didn't you?"

Your android's cognitive system is malfunctioning and refuses to obey her owner's instructions. If I remember correctly, you said androids like that had to be destroyed, didn't you?" Chapter 1 Early next morning, I received a text from Syntek Robotics: [Hello. Thank you for reporting the issue to us. A technician from Syntek Robotics will come to your home within twenty-four hours to address the issue.] I glanced at Ruby cooking in the kitchen and frowned. If I had not seen her mounting on Martin and making out with him yesterday, I never would have suspected that the android who was supposed to take care of me had slept with him. "Eat." Ruby suddenly slammed a bowl down in front of me. Her usual respect was gone, replaced by smugness and arrogance. The bowl of soup was full of thick, greasy lard. I frowned and said coldly, "I told you I don't want anything this greasy." Ruby crossed her arms. "Everything I prepared from my meal plan is good for you, madam. You need to eat so you can produce breast milk and take better care of the baby." When I still refused, Ruby lost her patience. She forced my mouth open and poured the scalding soup over half my face. The skin around my mouth instantly turned bright red and blistered. I struggled free and raised my hand to slap her, but she caught my wrist. Ruby scoffed and shoved me away, saying, "Madam, I'm only following my programming and doing what's best for you and the baby. If you disobey me again, I won't be forcing you like this only." I grabbed the bowl from the table and tried to throw it at her, but Martin suddenly walked in and stopped me. "What are you doing?" Martin asked as his eyes darted from Ruby to me. But before I could speak, Ruby cut in with a hurtful voice. "I was only trying to get the missus to eat something nutritious so she'd have the strength to care for the baby. She must not have liked the taste as she got angry and tried to hit me with the bowl..." Martin's expression immediately became cold as he pulled Ruby behind him protectively, his displeasure clear. I tried to speak, but the pain in my face stopped me. In the end, I forced out an explanation through the pain, my voice trembling. "She poured hot soup on me first..." Impatience appeared in Martin's eyes as he cut me off. "Ruby's simply following her programming and trying to help you. Her meal plans are designed by leading specialists, but you tried to hit her with a bowl? Have you forgotten how expensive she is? Have you forgotten how she has taken care of you for the past month?" My heart instantly dropped when I heard what he had to say. Chapter 2 I had not forgotten anything about what Martin had said. However, I could barely recognize my husband standing before me anymore. Normally, If I so much as pouted, he would wonder what he had done wrong. But now, he could stand by while an android nanny hurt me. Only then did he seem to notice the blisters on my face. He looked away and said, "Why haven't you treated your face yet? Are you waiting for me to apply the medicine for you? "It was bad enough that you stopped caring about your appearance while you were pregnant, you still don't care now that you've already had the baby. How am I supposed to face anyone? "Ruby can come with me to tomorrow's business meeting." Martin made no attempt to hide the disgust in his eyes, and I could feel my chest tighten. My health had never been great, and I had been terrified of having a baby. Martin promised that no matter how much I changed, he would stay by my side forever. That promise was what gave me the courage to have a baby. To have this baby, I endured excruciating labor, an episiotomy, changes to my body, and even being unable to control my bladder occasionally. Whenever things got tough, I reminded myself how badly Martin had wanted a baby with me. I went through it all, and all I got was his disgust. Every promise he had ever made had become a knife pointed at me. I could not help but sob and tremble. "If you despise me that much, then let's get a divorce. You can spend the rest of your life with Ruby!" The living room fell silent as soon as I spoke my mind. Shock and panic appeared on Martin's face, but Ruby stepped between us with a defiant look. "Madam, don't use me to make Sir jealous. You don't need to humiliate us like this!" Martin recovered and gave a cold laugh as Ruby finished speaking. "Celia, stop causing any trouble. If you keep this up, I won't step in when your family's company goes bankrupt and gets bought out." I smiled bitterly. He used to say my parents were his parents too and that he would do whatever it took to help with the company. Now he was using it to threaten me. My eyes turned red as I remembered what happened last night. "Then tell me what you did with her last night. Say it! Did you really think I didn't know?" Martin froze and looked away. "She was giving me last month's work report. That's all. She's an android, Celia. Can you stop being so suspicious?" Ruby spoke calmly. "Sir, it's normal for women to become hysterical after giving birth. I'm detecting significant emotional instability in her now. She should rest quietly in her room." Martin nodded, but I could not read the look in his eyes. Suddenly, Samson started crying in the nursery. Ruby gave me a meaningful look and headed straight for the room. I remembered what Ruby had complained about last night and grabbed Martin's hand in terror. "No! She'll hurt him!" "She's been professionally trained. She knows how to care for a baby better than anyone," Martin said nonchalantly. However, the crying grew louder. Ignoring the pain in my face and the tearing pain between my legs, I ran to the nursery. The sight nearly made me faint. Ruby had forced Samson's mouth wide open and was pouring water from a cup into it. White pills were even dissolving inside. I lunged at her, but she dodged me and smiled. "Why are you so stressed out? They're only sleeping pills. Sir has approved it. This little thing is far too noisy." Her words stunned me. This was Martin's own son! How could he have allowed Ruby to give him sleeping pills?! I ignored her and examined Samson whom I cradled in my arms. His breathing was getting harder and his cries had grown hoarse. I gently patted his back, then realized how hot he was. "He has a fever! Out of my way! I'm taking him to the hospital!" However, Ruby blocked me and stood at the doorway. Martin came over with a frown at this time. "What now?" I cried, "Ruby gave him sleeping pills! Did you know about this?! How could you let her do that?! He has a fever and I'm taking him to the hospital right now!" Chapter 3 Martin looked at me in guilt. "I only agreed because Ruby said it wouldn't hurt him... Ruby, take him to the hospital and have him examined." Ruby didn't move. "Sir, I've analyzed the baby's symptoms. It's only a mild fever, and we can bring it down with physical cooling measures. Hospitals have a complicated environment and a newborn's immune system is weak. He could easily catch an infection there." Martin gave it a thought and nodded. "Ruby's right. She knows more about this than we do. Let her handle it." Ruby forcibly snatched Samson from my arms and locked me inside the nursery. I screamed until my voice went hoarse, but neither of them cared. Martin merely rubbed his forehead wearily and told me to behave. After that, they refused to let me see Samson. Ruby said he needed a quiet room while she lowered his temperature. Meanwhile, Martin told me to stop making things worse. Remembering how sick Samson had looked, I nearly dropped to my knees. "Martin, please! Let me out!" Ruby didn't unlock the door until noon with a smug look on her face as she opened it. I rushed to Samson. His breathing was heavy, and when I touched him, he was frighteningly hot. "Ruby! Weren't you supposed to be taking care of him?! Why does he still have a fever?!" I could barely force the question out through my fear and panic. Ruby merely blew on her nails. "My apologies. I went shopping this morning. His fever is only 100 degrees Fahrenheit and it takes time to come down. Why the rush?" My entire body trembled as I stared at her delicate face, wishing I could tear it apart. "100 degrees? That's already dangerous for a newborn! Do you even know what you're doing?!" I reached for Samson, but Ruby roughly snatched him away first. "Madam, you're too anxious. You'll frighten him and make him cry." Her voice sounded fake while her fingers secretly dug into Samson's arm. He immediately cried even harder. Martin hurried in at the sound, and his first reaction was to step in front of Ruby. "It looks like she's right. Something is seriously wrong with you after giving birth. Even Samson doesn't want to be near you. "Ruby and I have discussed it. We're sending you to a mental health facility for a while. She can take care of the baby while you're there." As they stood there calm and collected, my breakdown made me look like a madwoman. I almost laughed, but tears rolled down my cheeks instead. Martin had once loved me and protected me. He promised to keep me safe forever. But now, he rather believed an android over me and wanted to have me committed into a sanitarium. "Take care of him? She gave Samson sleeping pills! He has a high fever, and she left him alone to go shopping! That's what you call taking care of him?!" I pointed at Ruby, my voice shaking with anger and pain. Martin turned to Ruby with a frown. She immediately put on a tearful expression. "Sir, I was simply following the childcare guidelines. I went out to buy a more effective fever medicine." She pulled out a box of medicine. Martin was clearly convinced. When he turned back to me, he sounded even more impatient. "You heard her. Stop being suspicious of everything." However, the doorbell rang in the middle of our standoff. "We're from Syntek Robotics!" Hope surged through me. If the technicians found something wrong with Ruby, I could finally take Samson to the hospital! Martin stared at me, then snapped, "You contacted Syntek Robotics without my permission?!" "I reported an android that refuses to follow instructions. Is there a problem?" I answered coldly without looking at him. When I opened the door, two employees in company uniforms stood outside. "Hello. We're from Syntek Robotics. We're here to address the technical issue you reported." Chapter 4 The older technician in front nodded politely as he greeted me. I had just opened my mouth when Martin cut me off. "There's no serious problem. My wife has been emotionally unstable since giving birth, and she has developed some misunderstandings about the android. You can go." The younger technician said, "But according to company policy, we are required to inspect the android before we can close the report." Ruby suddenly spoke up in an innocent voice. "Of course. I've been serving this household according to my programming. The madam simply seems to have misunderstood me." She walked over to the technicians without the slightest sign of panic. Five minutes later, the older technician checked the results and reported to me. "We're not detecting any abnormalities." Ruby then said, "There never was anything wrong with me. The madam has postpartum depression and keeps taking it out on me." Nothing had gone as I expected. The moment no one was watching, I grabbed Samson and ran. When I reached the garage, I suddenly realized that Martin had put Ruby in charge of everything in the house. He had even given her my car keys. Samson's breathing and heartbeat were growing weaker. I had no choice but to run into the street and try to flag down a car. The tearing between my legs worsened until blood ran down my legs and soaked my dress. The drivers took one look at me and not one of them dared to stop. As I struggled toward the hospital, a familiar car suddenly drove straight at me. I jumped out of the way, but the fall scraped me in several places, drawing blood. I also felt a piercing pain shoot through my leg. Through the windshield, I saw Ruby's mocking sneer. She mouthed the words, "This is what you get for telling someone to inspect me." She then drove away with a cold laugh. Torrential rain poured over me and dripped from my hair onto Samson. I held him as tightly as I could and struggled all the way to the hospital. When I arrived, I caught my reflection in the glass. I could hardly believe the filthy, drenched woman who looked like a fleeing beggar was me. "Doctor, please save my baby…" The doctor looked at me and said, "You look like you need treatment even more than he does." At my insistence, the doctor examined Samson first. Then he sighed and shook his head. "His fever hasn't broken. He has acute pneumonia, and being out in the cold made things worse. He's barely hanging on and his chances of survival are very low... Even if we save him, he may suffer severe cognitive impairment." I grabbed the doctor in despair and pleaded, "Please, doctor. Save my baby first. No matter what happens, I won't give up on him!" I was crouching outside the emergency room when Martin suddenly arrived with Ruby. He clicked his tongue when he saw how filthy I was. "Do you have any idea what would happen if the media saw you looking like this?" All I could do was roar at him, heartbroken. "Martin! Our son is fighting for his life because you refused to believe me repeatedly and kept letting Ruby do whatever she wanted!" Ruby covered her mouth. "But I took care of the baby according to my programming, and he was clearly improving at home. Maybe the madam made it worse by taking him out into the rain." Furious, I raised my hand. "Then who tried to run me over to stop me from getting here?!" Martin caught my wrist before I could touch her. "The technicians from Syntek Robotics already said there's nothing wrong with Ruby. Do you have any proof of what you're saying? She's an android, but that doesn't make her your punching bag." A man in a suit suddenly appeared at the end of the corridor. The two technicians from earlier followed respectfully behind him. He scoffed. "Who said there's nothing wrong with Ruby?"
