I refuse. He can have my sister—but he can't have me too. So when his younger brother Dante offers to marry me instead, I say yes. Adrian thinks he only changed brides. Instead, he hands Dante everything he wanted to keep: me, my family's support, and a shot at becoming the next Don. And when Adrian betrays his own brother to protect his position, he loses far more than his bride.

第1章
The day before my wedding, my fiancé gives the De Luca family ring to my half-sister.
Technically, it is supposed to be mine.
The ring has belonged to the De Luca family for generations, traditionally passed to the woman chosen to carry the family legacy into the next generation.
Tomorrow, that woman is supposed to be me.
At least, that's what I thought.
"Miss Moretti, please."
The jeweler steps forward and carefully slips the family ring onto my finger.
It doesn't fit.
That's impossible.
I had my final fitting three weeks ago. It fit perfectly.
"Sienna, what's wrong with it?"
My half-sister is wearing a deep red dress that looks more appropriate for a bride than a wedding guest. Her eyes stay fixed on the diamonds.
Then she smiles.
"Maybe I should try it. Just to see if the jeweler got the measurements mixed up."
Before I answer, Adrian gives the jeweler a look.
The family ring is removed from my finger and slipped onto Bianca's.
Perfect fit.
Bianca turns toward the mirror, smiling as the diamonds catch the light.
Then she looks at Adrian.
"What do you think?"
Adrian stares at her for a moment too long.
"Beautiful."
The room goes quiet.
My father, Richard Moretti, smiles like there is nothing strange about any of this.
Bianca touches the family ring carefully.
"It's almost like it was made for me."
I look at the jeweler.
He's sweating.
That tells me more than Bianca's little performance does.
I walk toward him.
"Three weeks ago, this family ring fit me perfectly."
His face stiffens.
"Miss Moretti—"
"You measured me yourself."
"Yes."
"And I wore it at the final fitting."
"Yes."
"So explain how a diamond family ring suddenly changed size."
Adrian steps forward.
"Sienna, it's a family ring. Don't turn this into an interrogation."
I look at him.
"Our wedding is tomorrow."
"I know."
"And the one thing your family specifically had resized for me suddenly fits my sister instead."
Bianca's smile fades.
"Sienna, maybe someone just made a mistake."
"Then we'll find out who."
I turn back to the jeweler.
"Bring me the original measurements. And every alteration order made after my final fitting."
I cross my arms.
"Now."
The jeweler doesn't move.
My father sighs.
"Sienna, enough."
I look at him.
"Enough?"
"Bianca is your sister. It's only a piece of jewelry."
Of course.
Bianca has been hearing that her whole life.
If I have something she wants, I'm supposed to give it to her because we're sisters.
When we were children, it was clothes and birthday gifts.
Now apparently it's my wedding.
Bianca lowers her eyes.
"I didn't ask for any of this."
She's still wearing my family ring.
I almost laugh.
The jeweler suddenly speaks.
"I didn't have a choice."
Silence falls across the room. Adrian's jaw tightens.
The jeweler looks at him, then at Bianca.
"I'm sorry, Miss Moretti."
My voice stays calm.
"What did you do?"
He swallows.
"I altered the family ring."
My father freezes.
"Why?"
The jeweler doesn't answer.
I step closer.
"Whose measurements did you use?"
His eyes flick toward Bianca.
That's enough.
But I want him to say it.
"Answer me."
"Miss Bianca's."
A few people around us gasp.
Bianca immediately reaches for the family ring.
"I didn't—"
"And who ordered you to do it?"
The jeweler looks terrified now.
Adrian cuts in.
"That's enough."
I turn toward him.
"No. It isn't."
"Sienna."
"Who ordered him to alter my wedding family ring?"
Adrian stares at me.
The jeweler finally breaks.
"Mr. De Luca did."
The room goes dead silent.
I look at the man I'm supposed to marry tomorrow.
Adrian doesn't deny it.

"So it was you."
Adrian exhales slowly.
"Yes."
Bianca rushes to his side.
"Adrian only did it because of me."
I look at her.
"That isn't helping."
Her eyes immediately fill with tears.
"I love him, Sienna."
There it is.
Adrian reaches for her hand and suddenly everything makes sense.
It is a setup.
My father steps between us.
"Sienna, don't make this uglier than it needs to be."
I stare at him.
"My fiancé secretly altered my wedding family ring for your other daughter, and I'm the one making things ugly?"
His face hardens.
"Bianca is your sister."
"And?"
"You've always had everything. Your mother's family made sure of that. Bianca has never had the same advantages."
Bianca wipes at her tears.
"I never wanted to take anything from you."
"Take the family ring off, then."
Her hand freezes.
She doesn't.
Adrian pulls her closer.
"I asked her to wear it."
"Why?"
His expression turns impatient.
"Because I love her."
A few quiet whispers move through the room.
I nod slowly.
"Then marry her."
Adrian frowns.
"It's not that simple."
"Sounds simple to me."
"Sienna, stop."
"No. Explain it."
He lowers his voice.
"The agreement between our families has been in place for years. Calling off the wedding now would create problems for everyone."
There it is.
He wants Bianca.
But he still wants what comes with marrying me.
The money, territory, connections, and influence behind it.
Adrian takes another step toward me.
"The wedding can still happen tomorrow."
Bianca looks at him.
I almost admire the nerve it takes for him to say the next part.
"You'll still be my wife."
I stare at him.
"And Bianca?"
"She stays with me."
Someone in the room sucks in a breath.
Adrian continues as if he's offering me a generous compromise.
"You'll have the De Luca name. You'll have the house. You'll have everything that comes with being my wife."
His eyes move to Bianca.
"But I'm not giving her up."
Bianca takes his hand.
My father actually nods.
"Sienna, this may be the best solution."
I turn toward him.
"The best solution?"
"You and Bianca both get what you want."
I laugh.
"What exactly do I get?"
"The marriage."
"No. Adrian gets the marriage."
I look back at my fiancé.
"You want my family's power and my sister in your bed."
"You don't get both."
Bianca starts crying again.
"Sienna, why do you have to say it like that?"
"How should I say it?"
"I only want to be with the man I love."
"Then be with him."
Her eyes widen.
I point at Adrian.
"He's yours."
Adrian's expression changes.
For the first time, he seems to realize I'm serious.
"Sienna, don't do something stupid because you're angry."
"I'm not angry."
That is the strange part.
I should be devastated.
Instead, I feel clear.
I look at the jeweler.
"I want copies of the original measurements and the alteration order."
Then I look at Adrian.
"I'm taking them to your father."
His face turns cold.
"You don't need to involve him."
"Our marriage is a family alliance. You made it family business the second you tried to humiliate me publicly while keeping my family's support."
He grabs my wrist.
"Sienna."
I pull free.
"If you want Bianca so badly, tell your father yourself."
His eyes narrow.
"I will."
"Good."
"And I'll tell him I won't marry you."
The room goes silent again.
Adrian lifts his chin.
"Bianca is the woman I want as my wife."
I hold his gaze.
"Then I hope you still have the courage to say that when your father is standing in front of you."
