The Mafia Heir Gave My Wedding to My Sister
After a childhood fire left her sister Lily with the mind of a child, Emma Moretti became the family’s designated villain, forced to play the witch while Lily lived as their princess. Emma thinks marriage to Adrian Romano, heir to a powerful mafia family, will finally free her. Instead, Adrian lets Lily wear Emma’s gown, take her ring, and stand beside him at the altar. When Emma walks away and signs a five-year overseas contract, the people who took her for granted realize too late that she was the only thing holding their families, fortunes, and fragile loyalties together and alive.

第1章
After the fire, Lily's mind stayed frozen at seven years old forever.
From that day on, everyone in the Moretti family played the same fairy tale game with her.
Our mother, Elena, was the gentle queen. Our brother, Marco, was the handsome knight.
And me—Emma Moretti—I had to strap on a thirty-pound weight belt, drag one leg like it was injured, and play the wicked witch.
In the Moretti household, Lily's tears carried more weight than Don Vincent's orders.
The moment she cried, meetings could be paused, deals could be postponed, and everyone had to revolve around her.
Only me. I was the one who always had to give in.
Until I met Adrian Romano.
He was the heir to the Romano family—and the man I'd loved for seven years.
The first time he saw the weight belt strapped to my leg, he went quiet for a long time.
Then he crouched down, unbuckled the straps with his own hands, and murmured, "Emma, from today on, I'll only ever be good to you."
I believed him.
But when I brought him back to the Moretti estate, Lily came running out with her doll, insisting Adrian play the prince from the neighboring kingdom and marry her as his princess.
I whispered to him, "Just bear with it. She's only playing a game."
Adrian took the plastic sword and played along, over and over again.
After a while, the irritation was obvious on his face.
But every time Lily cried, he'd pick that sword right back up.
I told myself that once the wedding was over, I could finally leave this family.
But the day before the wedding, Lily grabbed my wedding dress and wouldn't let go, crying that she wanted to be the princess too.
My father handed me an ugly fake nose, his voice cold and hard. "You've played the witch for years. What's one more time tomorrow?"
My mother placed the thirty-pound weight belt in my hands. "There will be so many guests tomorrow. Do you want Lily to have a meltdown in front of everyone?"
Marco had his arm around Lily, his gaze icy. "The Moretti family can only have one princess. Emma, don't embarrass us all."
I looked at Adrian.
He'd promised me. He said he'd never let me be hurt again.
But he draped the black witch's cloak over my shoulders himself, his tone flat. "Emma, just bear with it one more time. Don't upset Lily."
I stared into those eyes that had once made me feel safe.
In that moment, I was completely, finally awake.
I slipped off the engagement ring and held it out to Lily. "How can a princess not have a jeweled ring? Here—do you want this one too?"
The living room went dead silent.
My father frowned. "What are you trying to pull now?"
My mother sighed. "You're an adult, Emma. Stop making Lily unhappy."
Adrian patted Lily's head. "Lily, give the ring back to me, okay?"
Lily shook her head furiously and clutched the diamond ring tighter.
Adrian let out a low laugh, the kind you'd give an indulged child.
He picked up one of the cheap plastic rings from the game and slipped it onto my finger. "Emma, wear this for now. It's just a ceremony. You're the only bride I'll ever have."
The wedding planner walked over with the menu.
Lily couldn't eat spicy food. Spicy food was my favorite.
But after my parents and Marco made their selections, the menu was almost entirely bland dishes.
Marco said, "Missing one spicy meal won't kill you. Lily being happy is what matters."
I said, "But this is my wedding."
My mother pressed down on my hand. "Stop arguing."
The officiant asked awkwardly, "So—which young lady walks down the aisle first?"
Lily immediately looked at Adrian.
Adrian let go of my hand. "Emma, she just wants to see what it feels like."
So I sat in the audience, holding that ridiculous witch costume in my lap.
I watched Lily put on the wedding gown I'd waited six months for, carry the bouquet of white irises I loved most, and lean against Adrian's arm.
My mother filmed it through tears and posted it to her private social media. "My daughter is all grown up. I'm so proud of her."
My father took Lily's hand and placed it solemnly into Adrian's palm. "Adrian Romano, I'm entrusting her to you."
Every single Moretti was smiling.
The men sent by the Romano family stood off to the side. None of them looked at me.
When the rehearsal ended, Lily stood on tiptoe and kissed Adrian on the cheek.
The entire room went still.
Adrian didn't push her away.
He just pinched her cheek with a helpless expression. "We're rehearsing that too? Emma's going to be upset later."
Everyone turned to look at me.
I smiled. "It's fine. I wish them all the best."
I looked at Adrian, my voice barely above a whisper. "After all, if Adrian prefers a girl with the mind of a seven-year-old, that's nothing to do with me."
Lily's tears fell instantly.
My father stepped in front of her, erupting with rage. "How could you say that about your own sister? Your grandmother spoiled you rotten back then—this is the result."
My mother rushed to comfort Lily.
The next second, the bouquet in Lily's hand flew straight at my face.
A sharp stem sliced across the corner of my eye. Blood ran immediately.
But Lily was the one crying, throwing herself into Adrian's arms. "Adrian can only marry me!"
Everyone scrambled to console her.
Adrian took one step toward me, but Lily grabbed the hem of his jacket.
The man who'd sworn he'd never let me be hurt again stopped in his tracks and murmured softly to her, "Lily, don't be scared. I'm here."
In that instant, my heart went completely cold.

I was about to leave when Marco seized my wrist and dragged me onto the stage. "Apologize to Lily."
My father rose to his feet, his voice like a sentencing judge. "If you don't apologize, the Moretti family will not attend your wedding tomorrow."
My mother nodded along.
Marco sneered. "When the Romano family's people see that the bride's parents and brother didn't show up, you'll be the one humiliated."
I was the one who'd been wronged.
But they were using my wedding to threaten me.
They knew Adrian and I had been together for seven years. They knew how much I'd looked forward to this wedding.
I'd shared the venue, the bouquet, the menu, the vows in the family group chat.
All I got back were a few cold periods.
It wasn't that they were busy. They simply didn't care.
That's why I didn't even have a say in my own wedding menu.
They didn't care about the wedding. They didn't care about me.
I looked at Lily. "I'm sorry."
Blood dripped from the corner of my eye onto the floor.
My mother's voice was detached. "Lily didn't hear you."
Adrian sighed. "Emma, what you said earlier really was out of line. Apologize properly. Stop causing problems."
I repeated the words. I'm sorry.
Once. Ten times. Fifty times.
By the hundredth time, my throat burned raw, and Lily finally smiled.
She picked up a yogurt from the table and dumped it directly on my head. "Emma, eat."
Cold, slimy yogurt oozed down my hair and under my collar.
Only then did my mother dab at the blood on my temple with a tissue. "You're both my daughters. I just want to be fair to both of you."
But my breathing was getting faster and faster.
My knees buckled, and I dropped to a half-kneel on the floor.
Marco's voice was indifferent. "Lily's still crying. Shouldn't you apologize again?"
He kicked me. "Quit acting. Get up."
My vision went black.
When I woke, I was in a hospital bed.
Adrian was sitting beside me. The moment he saw my eyes open, he grabbed my hand. "Emma, you're awake? Does anything hurt?"
There was a trace of guilt in his voice. "Lily was crying so hard that everyone forgot you're allergic to yogurt."
Apparently, after I collapsed, everyone assumed I was putting on a show.
It wasn't until a server nearby gasped, "She's covered in hives!" that Adrian realized I could barely breathe.
Marco walked in carrying a bag of fruit, frowning. "You're allergic to yogurt? Why didn't you say so?"
I had. Many times. No one listened.
When I was little, Lily was always sickly, so my parents sent me to the old house and left me in my grandmother Rose's care.
Every time they favored Lily, Rose would throw them out without a second thought.
But when I was seven, Rose passed away.
She held my hand and said, "No one's going to protect you anymore, Emma. You have to learn to protect yourself."
So I spent years giving in.
But in this family, no one ever listened to a word I said.
I looked steadily at Adrian. "Adrian, let's call off the engagement."
Adrian froze. "You're upset? Everything I've done to accommodate your sister—wasn't that for your sake too?"
Marco frowned. "You want to break off the engagement over something this small? Who are you trying to scare?"
Adrian wiped the tears from the corner of my eye, softening his voice. "Come on, you're just exhausted. After the wedding, I'll take you on our honeymoon. No Lily. Just us. Okay?"
I caught a glimpse of his phone screen.
It was open to a flight booking page.
My heart softened, just a little.
Then Lily's call came through immediately.
"Adrian, where are you?"
Adrian had always been cool and detached toward everyone.
I used to think that was simply who he was.
But now, speaking into that phone, his eyes went gentle.
"Lily, I'll be right back."
He hung up and turned to me. "I have to go. Get some rest. The wedding's postponed two weeks. You're in no shape to attend right now."
Marco nodded. "Lily can stand in for you on the remaining steps. Just focus on recovering."
They'd already decided everything for me.
Even my wedding could be handed off to Lily to finish.
After the room fell quiet again, I picked up my phone and called my former boss. "That posting you mentioned—the Marseille office. I'll take it."
A pause on the other end. "Emma, that's a five-year overseas contract. Are you sure?"
My voice was soft. "I'm sure."
If the only role this family would ever give me was the villain in their story, then I'd leave and be the lead in my own.
第3章
I spent two weeks recovering in the hospital.
Every single day, wedding updates filled my social media feed.
The understated venue I'd chosen was replaced with Lily's favorite pink princess theme.
My father in a black suit, my mother in an expensive evening gown, both beaming as Lily tried on a veil.
Marco posted a dozen videos a day.
"My princess in a wedding dress. Your big brother is so proud of you."
Classmates I hadn't heard from in years started messaging me.
"Emma, is your sister getting married alongside you or something?"
I didn't reply. I took a cab straight to the Moretti estate.
Adrian was peeling an apple for Lily.
When he saw me, he instinctively blocked the doorway. "What are you doing here?"
I looked at him calmly. "Picking up some clothes."
Adrian relaxed, lowering his voice. "Lily still hasn't forgiven you. Go back to the hospital. I've already taken care of the bills."
I didn't answer.
I went to my room, packed my bags, and took my passport, documents, and important files.
Then I opened the brocade box hidden at the back of the closet.
It was empty.
The jade bracelet Rose had left me was gone.
I walked into the living room. Sure enough, it was on Lily's wrist.
My father didn't even look up. "She found it a couple days ago, said it was pretty, and put it on. Don't fight her for it."
Marco was grinning, coaxing Lily. "So beautiful. Who's my one and only princess?"
Lily raised her hand proudly.
I walked over and held out my palm. "Give the bracelet back."
Lily immediately burrowed into our mother's arms. "No! Emma's mean."
She grabbed whatever was within reach and hurled it at me.
My father shielded her, roaring, "It's just a bracelet! Is this really necessary?"
I looked at him. "It's the only thing Rose ever left me. It's mine."
My father hesitated for a second, then waved it off impatiently. "Rose is dead. Are you really going to tear this family apart over a keepsake? Besides, she was Lily's grandmother too. Stop competing with your sister over everything."
I didn't want to hear another word. I lunged forward and reached for the bracelet on Lily's wrist.
Lily screamed and jerked away, falling to the ground. Her knee split open, bleeding.
The bracelet shattered on the floor.
I dropped down to gather the pieces.
The sharp edges of jade sliced my fingertips. Blood quickly stained my palms.
The next second, Marco hauled me up from the ground. His open hand cracked across my face.
The living room went silent.
Marco grabbed my collar. "Have you lost your mind?"
He kicked the broken pieces toward me and forced me to my knees. "Today you're going to learn your lesson. Otherwise you'll really start thinking no one can keep you in line."
My knees drove down hard onto the shattered jade. The pain tore through my whole body.
Adrian glanced at me. Something like pity flickered in his eyes.
His feet shifted, just slightly.
But Lily shed a few tears.
He looked away, turned around, and draped a jacket over Lily's shoulders.
